The most common mistake new members make is assuming that Warrior Cats RPGs are like a computer game where you can see the character before your eyes and control it.
This, sadly, is not the case.
The method of playing a cat (or any animal) on these sort of sites is text-based, meaning you type out everything your character is doing.
Most sites function in third person and past tense, meaning they write it out like they are an observer, and what is happening happened in the past, not right at the moment.
For Example:
First Person: I looked at the she-cat, feeling fury well up in my stomach. "You are accusing my Clan of treachery," I hissed.
She looked at me cooly and said nothing.
Third Person: Talltree looked at the she-cat, feeling fury well up in his stomach. "You are accusing my Clan of treachery," he hissed.
She looked at him cooly and said nothing.
Present Tense: Talltree looks at the she-cat and feels fury well up in his stomache. "You are accusing my Clan of treachery," he hisses.
She looks at him cooly and says nothing.
Third Person, Past Tense: Talltree looked at the she-cat, feeling fury well up in his stomach. "You are accusing my Clan of treachery," he hissed.
She looked at him cooly and said nothing.

And naturally, the websites will expect you to NOT use chatspeak, and to DO have good grammar as well as a keen sense of spelling. If you don't, use Spellcheck. It's there for a reason.
