Shadowstar shakily sat down on his soft bed of ferns and feathers. For once, he was grateful for the efficient-ness of his Servant. He sighed heavily, looking at his Mender, Bloodclaw.
Bloodclaw met his Leader's gaze for a moment then looked away, minding the herbs laid out in front of him.
"How have the herbs been?" He finally asked.
Shadowstar regarded the Mender with his icy gaze for a moment then said,
"They're doing their job - but not fast enough."
He glared at the Mender.
Bloodclaw dipped his head and mewed,
"Leader, the herbs take time. You need to rest for another quarter moon before you will be back to your full strength." He averted his gaze as Shadowstar looked over the larger cat, his reinforced claws flexing.
"Fine," he spat. "I will wait another quarter moon." He stood suddenly, pacing around his roomy, luxurious den.
"Mouse-dung!" he spat. "I can only run for so long before my paw-steps waver. I can only speak so much before my voice falters!" Shadowstar let out a long, threatening hiss, clawing at his wall.
"Curse that Darkclan she-cat for holding us at ransom. Curse her for bringing Greencough, a FOREST disease, to my camp! Curse her further, for infecting me!"
He spat as he said, "A curse on the name of Robinsong. I will have her teeth!" He sat with a THUD, panting heavily.
Bloodclaw wondered if his Leader was okay but Shadowstar growled,
"Leave me."
Bloodclaw hastily bowed and left the den, leaving the healing herbs behind for Shadowstar.
